Central States Shrine Association Fall Ceremonial
September 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2009
Traditionally, the last day of the convention there will be a parade and this convention
is no different. For planning purposes, here are the facts and a few need-to-know
items.
The parade is scheduled for September 12, 2009, starting at 9:00 AM. Line up is
in the vacant field on the west side of Highway 85 (N. Sante Fe Avenue), just as
you enter the City of Fountain, at the intersection of N. Sante Fe Ave. and Lyckman
Drive.
We will proceed south on N. Sante Fe Ave to East Iowa Ave, turning left and continuing
to Metcalf Park where the parade will terminate and the end-of-parade festivities
will be held. The parade route is approximately 1.3 miles.
For planning purposes, you should know that you travel north from the headquarters
hotel on Lake Avenue, changing to Circle Drive and turn south on Highway 85 to Fountain,
about a seven mile drive with minimal traffic.
Special Note: Prior to the Parade, there will be a Short Form Ceremonial on the
steps of City Hall, corner of East Iowa and Main Street, and we would like to invite
all Shrine Temples to bring along a Candidate. Following the Ceremony, those new
Nobles will ride in Convertibles in the parade.
